Redefining Urban-Adventure

The Buck Creek Bash is a true adventure sports celebration/competition hosted each fall by Friends of Buck Creek.  Started in 2011, the Buck Creek Bash features the grueling Paddle & Portage Race and after party.  Racers paddle across the CJ Brown Reservoir at Buck Creek State Park, then portage 3/4 mile down to the creek.  Racers then paddle a 4 mile stretch of Buck Creek navigating the rapids along the way.  The Finish Line is at the Springfield Musuem of Art. If competition is not your thing, on-lookers can bike along the creek on the bike path and watch the carnage along the way.   Come watch the racers suffer, while you enjoy some food truck grub and beer!
